@aspicytouch wins @IPPY Silver Medal at The Independent Book Publisher’s Awards

A Spicy Touch – Family Favourites from Noorbanu Nimji’s Kitchen has won the Silver Medal IPPY for the Best Independently Published Book Awards.

Noorbanu Nimji’s co-author Karen Anderson and photographer Pauli-Ann Carriere went to Chicago for the awards ceremony on May 11. They also attended Book Expo America.

The IPPY awards are the World’s Largest Book International Book Awards. Over 5000 books are entered in 80 categories. There are only two cookbook categories and the awards accepted entries from all over North America and the English-speaking world making this win a very prestigious one.

Karen and Pauli-Ann are brought the medal home to Calgary and presented it to Noorbanu, the rightful recipient of the honour. There would be no A Spicy Touch brand had Noorbanu not worked tirelessly at sharing her masterful knowledge of cooking Indian and East African Ismaili specialties. We hope this award will mean that Noorbanu’s legacy of excellence will reach an even wider audience.
